De Rouille et D’os (Rust and Bone) – French Film Festival

This is the third of six films in the Virginia Tech French Film Festival.

Alain (known as Ali) and his sister Anna arrive in Antibes, near Nice, where Ali gets a job as a nightclub bouncer and meets Stéphanie, escorting her safely home. Stéphanie loses her legs in a tragic accident, and Ali and Stéphanie become increasingly involved in this complex hit romantic drama that shows the human spirit’s despair, resilience and triumph.
