The Rustic Mechanicals return to The Lyric Theatre with William Shakespeare's Macbeth
Murder! Prophecy! Witches! …and, surprisingly, Love!
The power of a prophecy tempts the ambitious General Macbeth and his passionately persuasive wife to accelerate their road to royalty. Something wicked this way comes when the real-life husband and wife founders of the Rustic Mechanicals play the original power couple whose vaulting ambition unravels their love and their lives.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for children 16 and under.

"Pretty in Pink" Dancing in the Street

Andie is an outcast, hanging out either with her older boss, who owns the record store where she works, or her quirky high school classmate Duckie, who has a crush on her. When one of the rich and popular kids at school, Blane, asks Andie out, it seems too good to be true. As Andie starts falling for Blane, she begins to realize that dating someone from a different social sphere is not easy.
Admission to Pretty in Pink is $12 for general admission, $10 for members.
Wear your favorite 80’s outfits and arrive early before the movie to get your picture taken in front of our groovy backdrop in the lobby to be entered to win prizes in our 80’s costume contest! Stay after the movie for a free 1980’s dance party on College Ave with live music from Blacksburg’s very own Talk2Me band (formerly known as "The Breakfast Club band") performing all your favorite 80’s hits until 10:00pm! Our bar and concessions will be open after the movie as well, so you’ll be able to enjoy drinks and snacks as you dance!
